Would you like an easy way to get your organ committee underway? Many committees find it is difficult just getting started. This is complicated by busy lives and the problems inherent in getting a group of people together for a series of meetings. You can add to that the fact that many members on committees feel a bit uncomfortable as they have never been involved in an organ search before and honestly admit that they don’t know much about organs.
There is a way to begin your search that will also make the best use of everyone’s time. We call it an Input Meeting. One committee member described our Input Meeting as “question and answer time meets show and tell.” This meeting usually takes from one and a half to two hours and is held at your church. We help you through a series of questions that cause you to reflect on your worship needs both present and future. Physical and financial limitations or opportunities are also discussed. Committees find this a wonderful time of interaction and it involves everyone! We also provide input to your committee on the full variety of products available today. Your own responses help you determine the type of organs you should consider. This makes future meetings much more productive for everyone involved.
